Interiors: A DIY Ombre Chest of Drawers with Wayfair

If you follow me on Instagram, you may remember a few weeks ago there were some pictures popping up of a drawer unit I was painting using an ombre autumnal colour palette. Well, the project was in collaboration with Wayfair who got in touch and asked me if I’d like to be involved in a little bit of DIY (how did they know?!)

I absolutely LOVED giving a makeover to the chest of drawers, especially since this was my first attempt at furniture painting. The full tutorial can be found over on Wayfair but here’s a little peep at some of the photos along the way.

The finished drawers look lovely in our spare room and give it some much needed colour against the white walls, I’m delighted with the end result.

Thank you to Wayfair who kindly gifted the chest of drawers and other decorative accessories for this collaborative post.

It looks amazing, you clever thing. We have a similar chest of drawers and it really is quite boring. I’d love to try something similar but with aqua tones.

I say go for it Rachel! The palette wouldn’t necessarily have been my first choice but actually it’s nice for me to move away from my normal colour choices. If you do get painting, let me know X

Thank you Donna, yes the knobs were definitely the perfect finishing piece, I could never have lived with the little black ones the drawers came with x

It’s fab :), a lovely selection of colours. Would you recommend the Chalk Paint? I too have a set of drawers (a hand me down that’s seen better days) that I’ve wondered about painting! x

Love it!!! I painted a chest of drawers in Annie Sloan earlier in the year — not ombre tones but two tone drawers with mix and match knobs! Totally gives a boring old piece of furniture some personality! Thanks for linking up — hope to see you next week xx #HomeEtc
