Beautiful Gifts From The Ginger Pear

The Ginger Pear

There’s something so exciting about finding unique pieces for your home isn’t there? I know that popular brands exist for a reason and you’ll spy a blanket in the image above from a well-known Scandinavian homewares behemoth. But I’m a big believer in mixing high street with independents and love discovering small businesses like The Ginger Pear.

Owner Claire and I have been following each other on Instagram for quite a while now. She got in touch to ask if I would be interested in collaborating and of course, being a previous small business owner myself, it’s always such an honour to champion others. Claire established The Ginger Pear along with her partner Nils in 2015 and works primarily with local artisans to offer very unique items to her customers.

Unpacking a box of surprises is always a little like a grown up version of Christmas Day. Wrapped in beautiful tissue paper, the Teardrop Recycled Glass Vase is so, so elegant. I love the curled lip and slimline shape but it still feels sturdy, vital in a household with a cat and dog who manage to cause chaos. Pete went out to buy roses (yellow, my favourite) but I can’t wait for our pre-Christmas visit to Columbia Road so I can fill it with eucalyptus.

Claire also sent me these amazing submersible lights – battery operated which can be placed into the vase to create a delicate light-up effect. Perfect for dinner parties and festive celebrations. I haven’t had the chance to properly put them to the test, but I may well save them for table decorating at Christmas, they look so pretty (image courtesy of The Ginger Pear).

And what does every blogger need? The perfect mug to accompany late nights writing blog posts. Mine is very definitely filled with tea and not coffee but it’s absolutely gorgeous. A handmade, artisan design, I love the three layers. Stonewashed denim glaze with a clay middle layer and bottom copper glaze, it feels sturdy and stylish.

The Ginger Pear is the perfect Christmas shopping destination too and there are so many things I want, including these granite pet bowls and this starry birch wreath. Please do think about supporting independents this year (and every year) – treat your loved ones to something different and head to The Ginger Pear to take a look.

Thank you so much to Claire for sending me items from her store in return for a review on the blog.

They have so many beautiful pieces don’t they? I’m after a very stylish dog bowl I saw…although Maddie will probably trash it! X
