Clas Ohlson’s Best Budget Picks

Clas Ohlson

I love discovering places where you can pick up useful bits and pieces for the home at pocket-money prices and Clas Ohlson is one such place. They’ve appeared in earlier posts here and here but this time I wanted to showcase some of their best items for under £10 both for practical use and as lovely little touches around the home.

The Candle – a stylish chocolate and vanilla scented candle in a glass jar with gold lid. It has a burn time of approximately 20 hours and is currently on offer at £1.99, but the normal price is only £2.99. Great on-trend colours and would make a lovely gift too, if someone gave me this at Christmas instead of the totally pointless crackers I’d be delighted and it’s probably cheaper too!

The Tape Measure – we are a home with multiple DIY projects on the go at any one time and one tape measure just isn’t enough. We have 4 at the moment and will probably pick up more as we go. This 3m version has an automatic retraction and belt clip, but is a snip at £0.99. That’s right, not even one whole pound.

The Power Bank – I had no idea how much I would always be needing to carry a charger around with me until I started blogging more regularly, it’s now a default item in my bag. This one comes in 3 colourways and charges smartphones and other USB devices and costs £7.99.

The Solar Jar – our garden is a long way from being the outdoor space I dream of but for the time-being little touches can make all the difference. We may be hurtling head forward into September but this to me is one of the loveliest months of the year, an autumnal chill in the mornings but quite often warm days and evenings where curling up outdoors with a  blanket is still perfectly possible.

The Notepad – for no other reason than you can never have enough notepads. This one is currently my long and never-ending list of blog posts I owe people. The pages are plain which is perfect for me who is a bit of a scribbler. It looks like this has sold out at the Clas Ohlson website but there are some others to choose from.

The Travel Mug – I love the colours and styling of this, again it looks to be sold out online but cost £3.99 and there are plenty of others to choose from here. The insulation works brilliantly and I’ve been taking it everywhere with me. It will be first into my bag when we go to Cornwall on holiday in September.

If you’re not familiar with Clas Ohlson then please do check them out, they’ve been one of my favourites since the early 2000’s when I was introduced to them by a former boyfriend who was Swedish where they originate from and are a household name.

Hi Lins, I’d never heard of Clas Ohlsons before, and I love the stuff; so reasonably priced! I recently bought a power bank (more money, less power!). It’s one of those things you don’t realise you need until you have one.

    xx
