Festive Fragrance from The White Company & WIN!

thewhitecompany

There are some elements of autumn and winter that I can definitely get on board with. Cold, dark mornings are not my favourites but an excuse to curl up on the sofa on Sunday afternoons and watch old movies, dig out my cashmere socks and sip home-made Rocky Road hot chocolate are all winners. With our log delivery due any day now, the stove will soon be heating up the house and I’m feeling quite ready for winter.

The finishing touch for me though is always home fragrance. I’m a little bit obsessed with candles and they really come into their own at this time of year with seasonal scents. When The White Company got in touch to ask if I’d like one of their festive ‘Winter’ candles to get in the mood for the coming months, of course my answer was yes. It may be too early to think about Christmas but there’s something so warm and comforting about the heady aroma of cinnamon and spices…ooh that reminds me, must pick up some mulled wine.

It’s no secret that I love The White Company. The luxury, the style, the simplicity. I was very fortunate to attend their summer party at Eltham Palace earlier in the year and regularly pop in to my local store in Bromley to pick up gifts for friends and family. Despite that. this is the first time we’ve had one of the winter candles at home and it’s been such a treat. It does a wonderful job of filling our home with Christmas smells, even managing to overpower the usual pet odours. It burns so cleanly and looks very elegant.

I now know I’ll be stocking up over the next month so that once work is finished for the Christmas break we’ll be enjoying our lovely festive home but in the meantime, The White Company have kindly offered one lucky reader their very own gift-wrapped Winter candle. To be in with a chance of winning, enter using the rafflecopter below by 10pm on Friday November 11. Open to UK entrants only.

My logburner! I think it is what sold us on the house (that and the beautiful huge Yorkshire stone fireplace it sits in!), and we have definitely never regretted it. Curling up on the sofa with snuggly dogs and the cat (if he’s being brave) and my husband in the toasty warm and listening to howling wind outside is the ultimate in comfort!
I love the White Company scents too, haven’t ever owned a candle either, so fingers crossed! 🙂 x

‘Winter’ reminds me of a friends house. She always has White Co candles and I love the smell of her house at Christmas. The giant ones are just so beautiful to look at too aren’t they!
