Home Etc #135 – Home & Interiors Bloghop

Home Etc 135

Well Happy Valentine’s Day everyone and welcome back to Home Etc, the interiors and home bloghop Caro and I host between us each week. This date is always a very special one – not for the romance but because we picked up the keys to our home on Valentine’s Day back in 2014 so it’s officially 4 years since we became home owners together!

Unfortunately my latest home plans haven’t worked out quite as I’d hoped. I’ve been waiting for a decorator to come and hang some wallpaper (trust me, this is not something I can do myself!) and have been let down TWICE. So frustrating since the wallpaper has been kicking around since Christmas. Fingers crossed I’ve hopefully found a great replacement so watch this space. The wallpaper is to go on the wall behind the sofa bed above, in one of our spare bedrooms and I think it’s going to look amazing.

I hope if you’ve been working on home projects they’ve been much more successful!

For now, back to last week’s favourite.

THE HOME ETC FAVOURITE

Well is it any doubt at all that the favourite for last week is the absolutely stunning garden room project shared by Suzanne at Inside, Outside and Beyond. I am literally in awe about everything to do with this stunning space. The features, the decor, it’s absolutely beautiful and looks straight out of the pages of a magazine.

I’m definitely going to use it as inspiration for our own garden room project – we currently have a much-maligned double-garage/outbuilding at the bottom of our garden which is in dire need of a complete overhaul.

Congratulations Suzanne  — you’re now in the running to win this month’s voucher from our fabulous sponsor, Laura Ashley.

I’m also DELIGHTED to announce our first voucher winner of 2018! We’ve had some amazing entries so far in 2018 but our favourite of the weekly winners just has to be the stunning DIY fireplace transformation that Evija carried out at From Evija With Love. I can’t believe what a difference it’s made to her room and looks amazing!

Very well done Evija, we’ll be in touch to arrange your Laura Ashley voucher prize!

Now it’s your turn, please do join in with any home/upcycling/DIY/craft/interiors-related posts.

HOW TO LINK UP…

All we ask is that you follow these 3 little rules:

1) Please include our lovely #HomeEtc badge at the bottom of your post.

2) You may link up to two posts — new or old — but no more than two posts each week please.

3) Please be kind enough to comment on your HOSTS’ POSTS which will always be the first two entries in the link up, plus a couple of others.

Blog hops only work if you’re as generous with your comments as you are at sharing your posts.

Be sure to tweet us @booandmaddie or @twinklediaries with the url to your post, using the hashtag #HomeEtc and we will always retweet. We will pick 1 favourite post each week then at the end of the month we’ll choose an overall winner.

This lucky blogger will receive a £20 voucher from our fabulous sponsor Laura Ashley.

Don’t forget to keep using the #HomeEtc hashtag on Instagram too! We just love to see your Instagram photographs and remember next week your host is Caro!

Oh no, your latest home project sounds a little similar to ours – we’ve had so many delays and cancellations recently from plasterers, builders, decorators…it drives you mad doesn’t it!? That garden room project is something else! Thanks for hosting lovely x
