Home Etc – December Edition

Home Etc December Edition

Happy December loves! I can’t believe we’re nearly at the end of ANOTHER year and 2019 will soon be upon us. It’s also a very exciting and bittersweet time for me as I’ve recently handed in my notice on my full-time job after nearly 16 years. It’s more or less the first job I had since graduating but as I rapidly approach my 40th birthday it really is time for a change. I’m not entirely sure what 2019 holds in store but it’s definitely going to be unforgettable!

Are you all ready for Christmas? We’ve finally finished with the structural working on our living room renovation so now it’s just down to accessories. It won’t be finished before Christmas but I’m ok with that. As a result, the jury is still out on whether I’ll put a tree up this year, we might save the effort and money since we’re in a bit of an in-between phase, we’ll see.

Thank you so much once again to everyone who has linked up to HomeEtc this month, I’m looking to being able to dedicate a lot more time to it moving forward but for now, here’s our favourite from November.

THE HOME ETC FAVOURITE

Something I don’t ever need to think about is how to decorate and style a child’s bedroom. It’s a shame in some ways because I think creating a space for children who are so creative and imaginative in their own little ways would be so fun. Thankfully I get to live vicariously through you lovely lot! And with this, our favourite link up from the November posts was Laura who writes over at Dear Bear and Beany, documenting family life with her husband and two beautiful girls.

She linked up a gorgeous post all about creating a girl’s bedroom that can grow with them as they get older and I think she’s got it spot on. Such beautiful styling and a pretty room that I’m sure they’ll be able to keep for a long while to come.

Do take a look at Laura’s project with all the detail of how it came to be. And congratulations Laura, you’ve won our monthly Laura Ashley voucher prize! We’ll be in touch to arrange delivery.

Now it’s your turn, please do join in with any home/upcycling/DIY/craft/interiors-related posts.

HOW TO LINK UP…

All we ask is that you follow these 3 little rules:

1) Please include our lovely #HomeEtc badge at the bottom of your post.

2) You may link up to two posts — new or old — but no more than two posts each week please.

3) Please be kind enough to comment on your HOSTS’ POSTS which will always be the first two entries in the link up, plus a couple of others.

Blog hops only work if you’re as generous with your comments as you are at sharing your posts.

Be sure to tweet us @booandmaddie or @twinklediaries with the url to your post, using the hashtag #HomeEtc and we will always retweet. We’ll be back on Wednesday 9th January to share our favourite from December and this lucky blogger will receive a £20 voucher from our fabulous sponsor Laura Ashley.
