Kitchen Makeover: How Worktop Express Transformed My Kitchen

At the start of this year I wrote a hopeful blog post about what we wanted to achieve on our house this year. It was dreamy, wistful, speculative, and knowing how slowly we move, I didn’t necessarily expect that too much of it would actually come to pass. And then a little bit of fairy dust happened. The lovely team from Worktop Express clocked my blog post and reached out to me to see if they could offer help with my planned kitchen spruce up, gifting work surfaces or splash backs.

This is honestly the stuff that dreams are made of but I didn’t know if I could pull it off. So many factors had to fall into place, I knew that I needed Pete to go away for a work trip which only come around every 3 years or so. The kitchen makeover would only really have been possible without him here just because I’m sure he would have gone into panic mode when I proposed my plans to him.

But what can I say, the rest is history and in just under a week I pulled off a pretty spectacular kitchen makeover, even if I do say so myself. However, it wouldn’t have been possible at all without the kindness, help and fabulous products on offer from Worktop Express. I’m sure many people heard it during my Instagram stories, but I have a tendency to be a bit fussy. Whilst this isn’t going to be our forever kitchen, it’s certainly got to last well enough for the next couple of years whilst we save up for our ground floor extension.

The prices are also incredibly reasonable with the marble effect worktop I chose starting from just £120. The communications from the team once you place your order are swift and comprehensive, double-checking all the details and configurations to make sure you’ve placed the right order. From then on, the production and delivery process is just as smooth. Obviously I was on a bit of a tight and undercover deadline but my worksurfaces were ready just 48 hours after ordering. I received an email the day before confirming a 2 hour delivery slot from the Worktop Express team and on the day, such a helpful service. A friendly two man team pulled up outside within the stated two hours and carefully carried the work surfaces round to the back of the house where my neighbours were ready to fit it.

I honestly can’t fault any element of the service from Worktop Express. And yes, of course it would be easy for me to sing their praises since I’ve been gifted with a product which has completely transformed my kitchen space. But authenticity is extremely important to me and I would be very clear if there was any part of the process I had any problems with. There’s absolutely nothing that I could have any issue with and I’m still pinching myself I have the new kitchen of dreams.
