Monday Catch Up #36

friendlycat

For some reason, this felt like the slowest week and I can’t even really put my finger on why – it’s been as busy as always which usually makes the days whizz by but not so for some reason. I did make friends with a lovely neighbourhood cat though on my way home from work and thoughts have turned again to my longed-for kitty. Hopefully by the summer.

I’ve been so excited about the return of The Walking Dead and finally got round to watching it after recording it on Monday night, one of my favourite TV shows and undeniable guilty pleasures. More meals from Deliciously Ella’s second book, this “Buddha Bowl” will be on the blog tomorrow and appreciating dusky clear skies on my way home.

There was a beautiful delivery of flowers from new London startup flower company Bloomon at work during the week, causing lots of winks from my colleagues at the thought that I might have a secret admirer and then fits of giggles when I said that far from it, I simply send flowers to myself. Thank you to Bloomon for sending such beautiful flowers, they’ll be featuring on the blog in an upcoming post.

On Friday night my Mum and Stepdad came to stay after a theatre trip and on Saturday we headed to the Royal Academy of Arts for the “Painting the Modern Garden” exhibition which was beautiful but oh so busy. Pete and I tend to try and get to things after work instead of Saturdays but we’re so glad we had the opportunity to go and recommend it if you get the chance. We also made a quick dash to Regent Street to pick up something Pete had ordered and on cutting through the back streets (and getting a bit lost in the process), we walked straight past Bill Nighy looking very dapper in a midnight blue suit!

We had lunch at Fortnum & Mason and then headed home for a very messy walk in our local woods – wellies may well be great at keeping feet dry but they don’t have much grip and we slid our way round.

Sunday has been catching up with blogging assignments and uploading more stock for DaisychainBaby, I’ll be SO happy once all my deliveries are here and the admin is done.

Lovely flowers! I’d have been very star struck if I saw Bill Nighy! I listened to his Desert Island Disks on a run the other week and it had been laughing out loud, which probably looked a bit odd.
