Interiors: My Christmas Colour Theme With HomeSense

Last Saturday on a cold and sleety morning, Pete and I set off to pay a visit to our nearest HomeSense to get some ideas for Christmas. As always with us, it has an uncanny way of creeping up and we’re always so unorganised.

We’d never been to HomeSense before but they frequently pop up in my Instagram feed and I was thrilled to discover that my nearest one is not a two hour drive through London and out the other side as I thought but just 30 minutes away over the Dartford Crossing in Lakeside Retail Park.

We set off so early that it wasn’t even open but after a little breakfast stop at Costa we were ready to go and headed inside with the entire store to ourselves. I was immediately wowed by the colours and couldn’t believe how much there was to choose from, we both agreed we could have done all of our Christmas shopping there without any problem at all.

It was always going to be all the pretty Christmas decorations that caught my eye and I love the classic red and white colour theme for the festive season. The table setting displays were gorgeous.

This pretty red glass star dish also caught my eye, perfect either on a shelf or windowsill as an ornament or filled with spicy Christmas pot pourri or even better – filled with Quality Street!

We’re big fans of style and eco-friendly living so I was immediately drawn to this stunning Christmas Tree made from recycled paper, what a wonderful idea.

And Christmas wouldn’t be complete without crackers and stockings, such a great idea to have useful trinkets like cookie cutters inside the crackers instead of a-n-o-t-h-e-r tape measure.

I’m now full of inspiration for Christmas decorating this year and can’t wait to make the house full of festive cheer. I couldn’t resist bringing this snuggly throw home which now has pride of place in the living room and matches our grey sofas. In fact I’m underneath it right now, writing this post.

I can’t wait to pop back now I know how close it is, shopping galore awaits!

This is a collaborative post but all words, thoughts and opinions are my own.

It’s gorgeous isn’t it? To be honest they had so many to choose from but I loved the colour scheme and slightly Nordic theme of this one X

Isn’t amazing?! I knew you’d love it in there. I’m quite traditional at Christmas too, and red and white features heavily in my festive decor. The boys like it too 🙂
