There’s nothing I love more than spending an hour or so meandering around interiors stores, and when they’re new and in a part of town I don’t get to very often so much the better. Hampered slightly by Storm Doris arriving in London but not undeterred, I set off for the new Neptune Home store opening party in Wimbledon to find some inspiration for our never-ending home renovation plans.
Neptune Home began life in Wiltshire more than 20 years ago and two decades on they’re going from strength to strength. I visited their autumn/winter 16 preview last summer and fell instantly in love with the quality of product that is so hard to find now. Furniture built to last whilst being stylish at the same time. Every small detail thought of so that when you open a cupboard or drawer, even the unseen corner is finished to perfection.
There is an argument to say that such quality and craftsmanship doesn’t come cheap, but why would you want to skimp on your home? The place that keeps you safe and warm. Neptune are positioned at the higher end of the market and that’s what makes visiting their lifestyle/concept stores so much more enjoyable. The Wimbledon collection is no different but does represent a Tardis, it goes back and back through living room set ups, kitchen ideas, the most perfect utility room I’ve ever seen. Bedroom edits and faux flowers, bathroom luxury and designer kitchens.
It’s chic and sophisticated and offers something to every discerning customer – if you like streamlined modernism, they can make it for you. If you’re more shabby chic and country living, there’s something for you too. Bespoke alcove shelving, their own range of paints and an interior design service. Reflecting the current 2017 green trend, Neptune have adapted it into a ‘Cactus’ and ‘Sage’ colourway, the latter of which I think would be perfect for our hallway.
There’s so much I could say about the new store but instead I’ll leave it up to these pictures to hopefully capture how much love I have for the brand. There are several concept stores located around the UK so do take a look and pay a visit to your nearest one, just don’t blame me if you fall for them…
