Occasional Home Store: THE Interiors Event To Be At

Occasional Home Store

I may be a little biased but interiors bloggers really are the best bunch. We’re all a little bit *ahem* older (and by that I mean, not 18) and so incredibly supportive. It really does feel like I’ve found my tribe. Which means gutted doesn’t even cover how annoyed I am to be missing the BEST interiors event of the year, Occasional Home Store.

On Saturday 9th September, get thee to North London (I wouldn’t normally recommend it, you know South is best ;). Here you shall find vintage traders and pop-up interior stores. Talented designer/makers, garden supplies, fresh flowers and a feast of local food and drink – all under one roof! And bearing in mind it will probably be raining and no-one wants to do housework on a Saturday, you really do need to pop along.

In association with Plum & Ashby, Occasional Home Store is the type of marvellous event which takes place when three people with shared passions get together. You may already know interiors blogger Rebecca Lawson. If her name doesn’t ring any bells, her inuendo-ridden Insta account @malmo_and_moss definitely will. Teaming up with vintage trader Sally Newman and Beth Smith, former editor of Selvedge magazine, the three ladies are putting together the sole reason to embrace autumn.

Not only will there be nearly 30 sellers of exquisite homewares, the event promises workshops such as ‘How To Style Your Home The Modern Rustic Way’. It will be a who’s who of Instagram interiors addicts no doubt. Thankfully although I won’t be able to chinwag with my fave ladies and spend all my pennies, it is because we’ll be on holiday. Which is sort of ok.

Occasional Home Store takes place from 10am until 4pm at Saint Peter’s Church, London, N21 1DN. Like I said, it’s ok to go to North London on this one occasion. Don’t make a habit of it mind.
