My Sunday Photo – Countryside Church

Wadenhoe Church

A few weekends ago we visited my Mum, who lives in the Northamptonshire countryside. We stopped at Wadenhoe for a pub lunch and took a little walk up the hill, reaching this pretty church. Imagine how long it must have been around for.

Wow, it does look very old. And so peaceful, the countryside looks like it hasn’t changed in hundreds of years.

I must confess, escaping London for more peaceful scenery every once in a while makes me very happy X

That is definitely a very old church. You can tell by the simple design. #MySundayPhoto

I was trying to dredge up some junior school history lessons from about 30 years ago to remember the signs for identifying what era churches are from but my memory definitely failed me!

That old church must have a few secrets and stories tucked away in the walls. If only they could tell their tale.
