Loves! I’m feeling excited at the prospect of our long-term home renovation project for the first time in a long time. It’s been 4 years since we moved in and despite talking FOREVER about one day building a ground floor extension, we have done absolutely zero about it. Finally though, finally, Pete went to talk to our financial adviser at the weekend to see what’s possible for borrowings. It turns out that our dreams may be able to turn into reality sooner than we think, yay!
I don’t know about you but unless I have a goal in place I’m hopeless at planning for that goal. So if someone says we need to save X for an extension, then I can knuckle down and live like a hermit for as long as it takes. But until I know what X is, I don’t give saving for it a second thought. Hopefully by the time we go on holiday in a couple of weeks we’ll know the lay of the land and can actually start planning!

THE HOME ETC FAVOURITE
Last week we loved Jane’s gallery wall using IKEA picture ledges. It’s such a great idea to be able to change up displayed photos/artwork/images creating a whole new look for a room very easily and at such little cost too! Jane’s space looks beautiful and I definitely need to pick up some of these ledges for our home.
