Home Etc #152 – July Interiors Link Up

Can you remember a summer like this one? I surely can’t, not since I was in school. It’s blissful isn’t it, long sunny days seem to put everyone in such a good mood! Caro and I are back with the July linkup for #HomeEtc and I definitely think it was a good decision to go monthly. It gives people more chance to join in and means we can focus on co-promotion.

So what’s happened since our June link up? Well, I feel like I’ve finally found some commitment for our home reno projects. An electrician has been to do some non-glamorous grunt work like adding new plug sockets in our living room and replacing some lighting. Our home was built in the early 1930’s and whilst that means it’s not as old as some, it’s still old enough to be quite impractical at times.

We’ve also had more new windows fitted at long last, with both our first floor and top floor landing windows being done, as well as another bedroom. That means we’re more or less done now with the only windows left being ones that will change anyway when we carry out our ground floor extension.

And on that subject! We’ve had the first architect round to discuss plans and he’s coming back in a few weeks to take proper measurements to present us with a first set of drawings. Finally at long last, next year we could be building and I’m so excited. It’s been nearly 4 and a half years since we moved in and it’s time to get cracking.

But that’s enough from me, without further ado here’s our favourite from last month’s June linkup.
