Home Etc 160 | March Edition

Home Etc Living Room Updates

Happy Wednesday loves and welcome back to our March edition of Home Etc! It’s definitely been quite an eventful month in my home since I last checked in for Home Etc with a brand new DIY kitchen and more progress in our living room too. I’m still getting used to being self-employed but am very much appreciating extra time at home to chip away at the never-ending list of projects.

Next up on the list is to repaint my home office – properly this time! I’m not changing the colour as I only painted it last year but I did it in a rush in that ridiculously hot weather and the paint was drying faster than I could cover the walls. As a result it never really got finished properly so that’s on the agenda before next month’s Home Etc rolls around.

But back to this month and I was SO delighted to see a very relevant post pop up from our of newer participants, Sarah who writes over at Dream of Home. I long maintain that I get 90 or 95% of the way through a project and then grind to a halt and it’s because those finishing touches often evade me. Our living room is now more or less there apart from furnishings and I know this is the bit I’ll find the hardest.

So I was completely thrilled to see Sarah link up her post on Shelf Styling For Under £50. It could not BE more timely if it tried. She has created a really beautiful look with next to no expenditure and I’m so obsessed with how it looks, especially those beautiful F. Scott Fitzgerald books. It just goes to show that you really don’t need to spend the earth in order to achieve a sensational look.

Thank you so much Sarah for linking up with and supporting our little community!

We hope to see you all joining in again for this month and we’ll be on the sharing and commenting, do tweet us if you can so we know you’ve joined up: @linsdrabwell and @twinklediaries

To take part all you need to do is:

  1. Add a maximum of two posts to the linky below. They don’t need to be posts you’ve recently written, if it’s something from 5 years ago that you’d like to get more traction on share away. But a maximum of TWO only please. The link up will remain open for around 3 weeks.
  2. You must comment on your hosts posts, which will normally be the first two posts in the linky. Please also do take a little time to comment on others posts as well, you never know who you may come across and some of my favourite bloggers end up being those I actually take the time to read and engage with.
  3. Don’t forget to add the ‘HomeEtc’ logo to your post. This helps build awareness and more people = more community = more engagement
  4. Last but by no means least, please please tweet us, Instagram us, LET US KNOW you’ve joined in. You can find me now at @linsdrabwell on Twitter and @linsdrabwellhome on Instgram. Caro is @twinklediaries on Twitter and @thetwinklediaries on Instagram

We can’t wait to see what you join in with and thank you again for supporting this little interiors community!

Love, Lins & Caro X
