What an insanely busy week back after our little holiday! Juggling the day job, one hundred blogging commitments that I’d agreed to, as well as trying to be at home as much as possible for our little poochie. It’s been manic to say the least but there’s really been one main focus – London Design Festival.
Think Fashion Week but for designers, architects, interiors etc and you’ve got the idea. With shows scheduled all over various ‘design districts’ in London, it’s seriously addictive. And exhausting. But so inspiring too. I love colour, patterns, meeting people who are so creative and equally passionate about their work. With a day job in IT, inspiration is in short supply.
Without further ado, here are some of my favourite images captured over the last few days at the London Design Festival, and I didn’t even make all of the collections. Roll on 2018, once we’ve all had a rest.
Beautiful display from florists Bloomon
Pretty in pink from Danish designers Skagerak
Vegan and gluten-free arancini from street food sellers Arancini Brothers
Incredible light collaboration between Blackbody and Haviland
Modern interiors and furnishings from Dead Good Ltd, displaying at Design Junction
Hand-painted ‘HAM’ mural surrounding pop-up ‘Canopy’ at Design Junction. By artist Jo Ham
Quirky little characters ‘Il Paradiso del Sogni’ by designer Matteo Cibic
Beautiful plant stands from Polish design company Bujnie at London Design Fair. I adore their set colour scheme too!
Did you go to London Design Festival this year? I’d love to hear your favourites.
