I grew up in central London, love these phone boxes, always lovely to see one in the odd village still down here! #mysundayphoto

I realise now how important it is to capture these things before they disappear forever. For all of the criticism sometimes lobbied at social media etc, the ability to be able to capture memories and zeitgeists is a marvellous one x

Fab photo, phone boxes make me smile they remind me of childhood, do you know I had to explain to my kids what they were and why and they just couldn’t get why anyone would use a static phone ha ha x

Wow, they must be like alien crafts I guess to children who have never had reason to use them. I hope phone boxes are always around there’s something very reassuring about them (or maybe I’m just getting old!) Thank you for stopping by X

I love them too Helen! I tend to find that I’m all too quick to walk past and ignore things I take for granted but gradually starting to open my eyes x

And once upon they would have been full of people using them…. to call people… oh how times change

You know Molly I get so nostalgic about these bygone times, even when I watch TV programmes as recent as Sex and the City, they would still call each other’s landlines and now it seems that people don’t call anymore. Sigh. Thank you for stopping by X

Such an iconic image that you just don’t see many of them around

    Thank you for linking up

Oh are you in The Strand/Cov Garden? We were there recently and my daughter (7yo) asked what one of these were – she couldn’t get her head around standing in one place to make a phonecall!!
I still love the vibrancy of the red

Well spotted Tracey! Yes this is in the Strand kind of opposite the entrance to Charing Cross station. It’s so funny this whole world that children grow up with that is very different from ours. Thank you for stopping by X

I am loving that these booths are being used in different things. Making sure that it stays in the streets where it belong. Pretty iconic! #mysundayphoto
