Tailor & Forge: Greenwich’s New Lifestyle Boutique

Tailor & Forge

It’s safe to say I’m a bit of a homebody. Which is why I’m so happy to live in southeast London and have Greenwich on our doorstep whilst still only being a 20 minute train journey to Central London. We take Maddie to Greenwich Park every couple of weeks and always end up swinging by the market. So when I spotted on Instagram that a new lifestyle boutique called Tailor & Forge had opened at Greenwich Market, I made a beeline for it the very next weekend.

Visiting on a freezing but super sunny Sunday lunchtime, it was absolutely buzzing. I love shopping locally and supporting small independents so seeing others do the same makes me happy. It’s a stunning space with something for everyone:

Tailor & Forge is a curated homeware and gift boutique bringing together the latest trends from the interiors, creative and design industries. With homeware and gifts carefully selected for their ethical and unique style from around the globe, the Tailor&Forge store is a visual delight awaiting discovery. With a variety of furniture, plants, jewellery, cards, lights, plants and more; you are sure to find something for yourself or your friends and family.

Meandering around, I felt a little bit like Alice in Wonderland. I’m sure my eyes must have been as big as saucers, internally ooh-ing and aah-ing at all the pretty things. It’s an Instagrammable mecca, full of snuggly sheepskins, gold cutlery and concrete planters. My favourite spots were a mauve dinner plate with Monstera print and Millennial pink terrazzo chopping board. I may yet go back for both.

I loved the layout with the shop segmented into different areas like living, dining and office. There’s also a little area selling items for small people and you could even pop in just for a gift card and some body wash. Price-wise, it’s quite middle of the road to me. The products are beautifully made and all high-quality so it’s not the place to go for a pocket money spend. It is the ideal destination for those of us who love special bits and pieces for our home or to buy a special gift. Definitely right at the top of my favourite local shopping spots with the added advantage of being able to swing by the market afterwards for lunch. What more could a girl want?

The Tailor & Forge website is still under construction but do give them a follow on Instagram in the meantime. This isn’t a collaborative post, just showcasing things that I love.
